EXCEPTIONAL scores are rare by design -- the engine requires elite performance on every metric simultaneously. If you see one, it is worth investigating.
Open the Dashboard
When you first log in, you see a ranked list of stock cards sorted by composite score strength. The highest-scoring candidates appear at the top. These are the stocks where the scoring engine found the strongest quantitative evidence across multiple dimensions.
You do not need to configure anything. The engine scores the entire universe automatically and surfaces the results that matter.
Read a Stock Card
Each card shows four things at a glance:
- Composite tier badge -- Color-coded level indicating signal strength. Gold means EXCEPTIONAL, green means HIGH, and gray means WATCHLIST.
- Opportunity type -- Whether the stock qualified as a Compounder (long-term quality), Mispricing (undervalued with a catalyst), or Both.
- Sector tag -- Which industry sector the company belongs to, useful for spotting concentration at a glance.
- Key score -- The composite score summary driving the composite tier.
Understand Composite Tiers
Not all candidates are equal. Here is what each tier means and what action it suggests:
| Level | Color | What It Means | What to Do | |-------|-------|---------------|------------| | EXCEPTIONAL | Gold | Strongest signal -- rare by design | Deep research warranted | | HIGH | Green | Strong evidence on at least one track | Evaluate seriously | | WATCHLIST | Gray | Some positive signals, not enough for a strong composite score | Monitor, don't allocate | | NONE | -- | Does not qualify | No action needed |
Expand a Candidate
Click any card to see the full breakdown behind the composite tier:
- Factor scores across Quality, Value, and Momentum pillars -- the individual metrics that drive the overall assessment
- Position sizing suggestion based on composite tier and opportunity type
- Elimination filter results -- which binary checks the stock passed before scoring began
- Score engine detail -- Track A (Compounder) and Track B (Mispricing) gate scores shown individually
The factor breakdown is where you learn the story behind the score. Two stocks can both be HIGH composite tier for completely different reasons -- one might be a quality compounder, the other a deeply undervalued turnaround. The detail view makes the distinction clear.
Search Any Ticker
Use the search bar at the top of the dashboard to look up any US-listed stock by ticker or company name.
Even stocks that were eliminated before scoring show their filter results. You can see exactly which binary check failed and why the stock did not make it into the scored universe. This is useful for understanding why a stock you already own or are watching does not appear on the dashboard.
Margin Invest is a research tool, not investment advice. The engine surfaces quantitative evidence -- you make the decisions. Always do your own due diligence before making investment decisions.
